Meet Dr. Herbert Lippitz

Dr. Herbert A. Lippitz

Founder of Lippitz Orthodontics

Dr. Herbert A. Lippitz, of Lippitz Orthodontics, completed both his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Master of Science in dentistry at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Dr. Lippitz is a member of the American Association of OrthodontistsMidwestern Society of OrthodontistsIllinois Society of Orthodontists, and the PRIMUS Study Group. He serves as the current vice president of the PRIMUS Study Group where he lectures regularly, and has served as president of the Illinois Society of Orthodontists. He has also served as an assistant professor at the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois, a former chairman of the Orthodontic Section of the Illinois Board of Examiners, past president of the Illinois Society of Orthodontics, and the past president of Northwestern University faculty advisory board.

Dr. Lippitz is an Invisalign® Certified Provider, specializes in TMJ treatments, and works with both children and adults. He has been practicing in the greater Chicago area since 1956. His work has been published in Northwestern University Research Review. Dr. Lippitz’s philosophy is to create anatomic, physiological, and psychological improvements for patients in need. He enjoys the happiness expressed by patients and the joy of spending time with them.

Dr. Lippitz is a native of Chicago, and has lived in Glencoe since 1970. He has one daughter and three sons: Deena, Brad, Jonathan, and Stefen. Between these four, Dr. Lippitz has nine grandchildren. In his free time, Dr. Lippitz enjoys running, fishing, and studying a wide range of topics such as Biblical studies, advanced physics, philosophy, world languages, music, theater, and numismatics. He is currently involved in the Northwestern University Dental Alumni Association.
